W4R is part of #GivingTuesday
Riley Park is unique in Calgary. It’s a regional, local and historic grant of land from a generous Calgarian in 1910. There’s need for continued generosity from W4R’s supporters as fundraising fell short of being able to fabricate Reflecting Blooms as designed.
The drinking fountain design is special because it’s so inclusive, with stems for all, including four-legged park visitors, which Trail and Jake greatly appreciate.
As well as the usual path for donating through the Parks Foundation website, #GivingTuesdayYYC is a broader effort to meet community goals. At the drop down menu, please select Water for Riley Park to donate.
And, Gena Rotstein of Karma & Cents invited W4R’s volunteer project manager to appear with her on Global Calgary, to speak about #GivingTuesday, which is about so much more than just donating money and forgetting about social issues.
